The Media Group RTL Germany is currently financed to the tune of around 85 per cent from advertising revenue. IP Deutschland, the advertising sales house of the Media Group RTL Germany, is able to offer complete media solutions combining the major media outlets of TV, teletext, internet and mobile right through to point of sale.
First introduced in 1956, the TV commercial has been part of our viewing experience ever since. Pioneers of TV advertising such as Henkel, Procter & Gamble and Dr. Oetker remain convinced of its effectiveness today. Over 5,000 brand names are promoted on German TV screens and around three million commercials are aired each year. In 2007, IP Deutschland took bookings for more than 753,000 TV commercials.
Whether cross-media or convergent networked campaigns on the one hand or innovative special ads on the other, individual advertising solutions now often go beyond the classic TV commercial and are developed and implemented in partnership with the customer. IP Solutions is the division of IP Deutschland charged with devising individual advertising solutions. Its product portfolio comprises not only special forms of TV advertising (sponsorship, special creation, exclusive position) but also individual, networked concepts (cross-media and convergent campaigns) as well as exclusively online campaigns and direct marketing. With its individually designed proposals and original advertising formats – 70,000 TV special ads, 700 online campaigns and over 4.8 billion ad impressions – IP Solutions generated over 10 percent of the group’s advertising revenue in 2007.
